March 4, 2019,      Sydney, Australia,   Hike from Bondi....    52/183

Sydney, with a population of 5 million, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. 320 km of coastline border this thriving metropolis of modern buildings, attractive ocean front shopping and dining spots, the Opera House, amazing parks covering large tracts everywhere populated by extremely friendly and helpful people.Wandering Browns

It is no wonder that Frederik, the Crown Prince of Denmark came to Australia to find his Bride.

Dick and Maryanne Duffley disembarked today for their return to Nanoose Bay, Vancouver Island.  By chance, we stopped to say hello to these strangers while walking on a Polynesian Island, and lone behold, they know many of the same people we know in the Victoria area. Yes, it is a small world!

Merrilynne and I visited the 'Eye", a 1000' observation tower before catching a city transit bus to Bondi beach, to start our walk along the coast.  We were not disappointed, as The Coastal Walk between Bondi and Coogee Beach is spectacular, as our pictures below will confirm.

Probably the most spectacular setting for a Pub anywhere!

  1. LOve your coastal walk photos. We did that last year. In two weeks we are doing another coastal walk which has just recently opened. Whereas the Bondi to Coogee walk goes through populated suburbs and cafes etc, the Maroubra to Malabar Coastal walk is all wild.
