Our world cruise has begun, with a red eye flight to New York City last night. We board Oceania’s Insignia on Jan. 11 at pier 83, but stormy weather has delayed this ship’s arrival to 3:00 PM. We will be cooling our heels till later tomorrow, hanging out with cruise companions in our hotel.
Merrilynne is anticipating a sleep-filled trip. Good luck with that!
Oceania booked us into the Plaza Hotel for a pre-cruise stay, while our travel company is hosting a dinner for our world tour mates tonight in our hotel.
It is very windy and 35F here, so our long-anticipated venture into Central Park was short-lived. Even the squirrels and pigeons were shivering. Miami in two days is appealing.
